What is stored on your device
| Name | Type | Purpose | Kept for | Shared with |
|---|---|---|---|---|
irk-theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose the Light or Dark theme. Only set if you click the switch. | Until you clear your browser data | Nobody. It never leaves your browser. |
irk-trends | Local storage | Remembers that you want the Google Trends charts loaded automatically. Only set if you tick “Remember my choice”. | Until you click “Stop loading Google content” or clear your browser data | Nobody. It never leaves your browser. |
Cloudflare cookie, e.g. __cf_bm | Strictly necessary cookie | Set by Cloudflare only if it needs to check for bots. Not used for tracking. | 30 minutes | Cloudflare |
Google cookies, e.g. NID | Third-party cookies | Set by Google, not by us, only after you load the Google Trends charts. Used by Google as described in its privacy policy. | Set by Google (typically up to 6 months) |
The two local-storage entries are preferences you set yourself, so they do not need separate consent. Google's cookies are only possible after you consent by loading the charts.
Cookies
We do not read or write any cookies. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie if it needs to check for bots. Google may set cookies only if you choose to load the Google Trends charts. To undo that choice, click “Stop loading Google content” under the charts, and delete Google's cookies in your browser settings.
How to remove the stored preference
Clear this site's data in your browser settings, or use a private window. The site works the same without it and simply follows your system's light or dark setting.
